Team Sask Program now Accepting Coaching Applications for 2023!

The SLA is looking for Coaches for the 2023 Team Sask program!    Now that regular season are back, addition of Female Teams, and Jr. Rush Teams (through our partnership with the Jr. Rush) we are looking for Head and Assistant Coaches for the following teams:  

 

  • U13 Female Box (2011/2012)
  • U15 Female Box (2010/2009)
  • U17 Female Box (2008/2007)
  • U13 Box (2011/2012)
  • U15 Box (2010/2009)
  • U17 Box (2008/2007)
  • U13 Jr. Rush (2011/2012)
  • U15 Jr. Rush (2010/2009)
  • U17 Jr. Rush (2008/2007)
  • U17 Men's Field (2007/2008)
  • U19 Men's Field (2006/2005)
  • Women's Field (2010 - 2005)

 

Team's will be attending the following Championships:

  • All Box Teams - Lacrosse Canada Minor Box National Championships - August 14th, to August 20th, 2023, held in Regina, Saskatchewan.  The U13 Female Team will take place in an Invitational National Tournament dependent on Lacrosse Canada Approval.  
  • All Jr. Rush Teams - Jr. NLL Tournament - August 25th, 2023, to August 27th, 2023, held in Oakville, Ontario
  • Both Men's Field Teams - Lacrosse Canada Field National Championships - September 1st, 2023, to September 3rd, 2023, held in Charlottetown, PEI

The Team Sask Coach selection process will be:

  • Applications Open until December 1st, 2022
  • Application Review - Beginning of December
  • Coach Interviews (for those selected) - Beginning to mid December
  • Coach Selections - mid December

 

The Team Sask program is the Provincial High Performance team program.   Teams represent Saskatchewan at various National events, which means there will be a lot of weekend practices, especially during the summer to prepare the teams.     For more information on what being a Team Sask Coach entails please review the following Team Sask Coach Manual:
