The Saskatchewan Rush and the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association (SLA) are thrilled to announce that the SLA will once again spearhead the Game Day 50/50 initiatives.
Over the years, the funds generated from the 50/50 draws have consistently contributed to the growth of Lacrosse in Saskatchewan, reflecting the longstanding commitment of both the Rush and SLA to foster the Creator’s game. By entrusting the administration of the 50/50 draws to the SLA once again, this initiative is poised to help create additional heights in fundraising for Lacrosse programs across the province.
“We’re pleased to continue our partnership with the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association. These funds will help existing players and their families get the access to the sport they love while also creating initiatives for new children to experience Lacrosse, Ultimately, we want to do everything we can to continue growing this beautiful game for everyone in our provinces, and our partnership with SLA is the largest contributor to that goal” - Tyler Wawryk, VP | Team Business Operations, Saskatchewan Rush.
The Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association expresses its deep gratitude for the enduring partnership with the Saskatchewan Rush since their establishment in 2016. Together, they have propelled Lacrosse to becoming one of the fastest-growing sports in the province, creating ample opportunities for individuals across Saskatchewan to engage in Canada's National Summer Sport and learn about the Indigenous Roots of the game.
“Lacrosse, recognized as the Medicine Game is bestowed upon us by the Creator and our Indigenous Ancestors, and holds deep cultural significance and we consider it a privilege to be entrusted with its growth throughout Saskatchewan. The 50/50 initiative represents just one facet of the Saskatchewan Rush's support for Sask Lacrosse. The collaboration extends to the First Scoop School Program, nurturing the game at grassroots levels, by having professional Lacrosse players work with youth across the Province and the Team Sask program, ensuring a robust high-performance platform for representation at the national level. Lacrosse players across Saskatchewan proudly don the Rush logo on their jerseys throughout the season, symbolizing their unwavering support for their favorite team.
