The Saskatchewan Lacrosse Associations offers house programs for individuals under the age of 18 in both Box and Field Lacrosse. Each SLA Member Association offers different Minor Lacrosse leaques, clinics, and camps for their house programs. The following age divisions are used in all SLA Minor Lacrosse Programs. The age divisions shall be as of December 31 of the current playing season. (E.G. an individual who turns 7 years old in December of the current year is a Tyke division player even though he/she was only 6 years old for the duration of the playing season.)
There are currently two A level programs in Saskatchewan called the Barracuda Program and SWAT program. The Barracuda program operates in the South of the Province out or Regina and the SWAT program operates in the North of the Province out of Saskatoon. The goal of the A level programs is to provide elite Lacrosse opportunities to players that want to take their game to the next level. These teams compete within the Province at different tournaments and outside the Province. All players who take part in these programs must belong to a house team in their local Association.
